What is a Youth Jobs PaTH Internship?

Youth Jobs PaTH Internships provide young people with opportunities to learn new skills and gain work experience they need to find and keep a job. Youth Jobs PaTH Internships are separate to Transition to Work TtW and Flexible Learning Options FLO.

By participating you will:

  • Demonstrate your ability to a potential employer.
  • Develop job ready skills.
  • Improve your employment prospects.
  • Build experience that you can add to your resume.
  • Earn an extra $200 on top of your current income support.

How do I access this support?

To participate you must be:

  • Aged 17 to 24.
  • Receiving income support payment from Centrelink, such as Youth Allowance or Newstart, for more than six months.

You can either search for your internship using your jobactive myGov account or contact us to find opportunities. We will then connect you with businesses in your area and if you need certain skills or training, we can help link you with registered training organisations.
