National Reconciliation Week

National Reconciliation Week

Each year National Reconciliation Week (NRW) occurs between 27 May to 3 June and explores a new theme which focuses on an area of importance to continue our reconciliation journey. The 2020 NRW theme is #InThisTogether. Reconciliation Australia have said that this themeis now resonating in ways we could not have foreseen when we announced it last year, but it reminds us whether in a crisis or in reconciliation we are all #InThisTogether.”

We’re an organisation that’s committed to strengthening our relationships with, developing our cultural understanding of and identifying opportunities within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. This year we aren’t able to recognise NRW in ways we have historically so we’re finding different ways to do it. For example, our team members across the nation are acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the land on Wednesday 27 May and will be sharing  thoughts on their role in reconciliation virtually.
